Terms of Service

Effective date: September 2, 2026. Applies to every lesson booked or paid for at tutoring.raylet.ai.

The short version. You book a lesson, you pay in advance, we meet on Google Meet. Reschedule or cancel free of charge at least 24 hours before the lesson. Later than that, or if you do not show up, the lesson counts as taken. If I cancel, you choose a new time or a full refund. The $8 intro is refundable if you are unhappy for any reason. Packages are valid for 3 months. Stop a package early and the lessons you took are recounted at $15, the rest comes back. I teach adult learners only (19 and older). The full rules are below and they are the ones that apply.

1. Who I am and how these terms apply

I am Natalie, an independent Ukrainian language tutor. I operate as a sole proprietor and I am based in Florida, United States. In these terms "I", "me" and "my" mean Natalie; "you" means the person who books or pays for lessons.

These terms are a binding agreement between you and me. You accept them when you do any of the following: tick the acceptance box at checkout, complete a payment, book a lesson through my booking calendar, or attend a lesson. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not book or pay.

Lessons booked through Preply are governed by Preply's own terms and are not covered here.

2. Who can book

I teach adult learners only. To accept these terms and book or pay for a lesson you must be 19 years of age or older. By booking you confirm that this is the case.

I do not teach school-age students and I do not accept bookings made by parents or guardians on behalf of a child or teenager. If I learn that a student is under 19, I cancel the remaining lessons and refund any unused prepaid lessons under section 8 and section 9.

3. What I offer

Lessons are taught in English and take place on Google Meet. I send the meeting link with your booking confirmation. After a full lesson you receive a lesson plan, a personal workbook and access to a progress dashboard in the student cabinet. Current prices are listed on the website in US dollars.

4. Booking and payment

Lessons are booked through my Cal.com calendar and paid in advance through Stripe. Package payments go through a Stripe payment link. I never see or store your card details. Stripe handles them under its own terms and privacy policy.

The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Prices are in US dollars. Your bank or card issuer may add currency conversion or foreign transaction fees, which I do not control. If a tax applies to the sale in your jurisdiction, it is included in the price shown or added at checkout as required by law.

A booking is confirmed when you receive the confirmation email from Cal.com or Stripe. Time slots are shown in your time zone. Please check that the time zone in the booking confirmation is correct.

5. Rescheduling and cancellation by you

You can reschedule or cancel any lesson free of charge up to 24 hours before its start time. Use the reschedule or cancel link in your confirmation email or write to me at [email protected]. A request counts from the moment I receive it.

If you cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours before the lesson, the lesson counts as taken. A single lesson is not refunded and a package lesson is deducted from your package. I make exceptions for emergencies at my discretion. Write to me and tell me what happened.

6. Late arrival and no-show

I wait 10 minutes from the scheduled start time. If you have not joined by then and have not written to me, the lesson counts as a no-show: it is charged in full or deducted from your package.

If you join late, the lesson still ends at the scheduled time. I do not extend lessons for late arrival.

7. Cancellation by me

If I have to cancel or reschedule a lesson, I tell you as early as I can. You choose: a new time that suits you, or a full refund of that lesson. A package lesson cancelled by me is not deducted from your package. Nothing beyond that is owed.

8. Refunds

Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. They usually arrive within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. Payment processing fees are not deducted from your refund.

If you believe a charge is wrong, please write to me first. I answer every message and resolve most questions the same day. A chargeback opened without contacting me first may end our cooperation, and I will provide the booking and lesson records to the card issuer.

9. The 8-lesson package

10. Technical issues

Each of us is responsible for our own connection and equipment: internet, device, microphone, camera and a working Google account or browser for Google Meet.

If a problem on my side stops or shortens the lesson, I make up the lost time or reschedule the lesson at no cost to you. If a problem on your side stops or shortens the lesson, the lesson counts as taken. I will still try to make the best of the time we have.

11. Lesson materials and the student cabinet

Everything I create for you, including lesson plans, workbooks, exercises, notes, the progress dashboard and the cabinet itself, is my intellectual property. You may use, download and keep these materials for your own personal learning. You may not share, publish, sell or pass them to other people, or use them to teach others, without my written permission.

Access to the student cabinet is personal and tied to your email address. It stays active while we work together. I may close cabinet access after a long break in lessons or when our cooperation ends. Tell me if you want copies of your materials before that.

12. Recordings and testimonials

I do not record whole lessons. From time to time I record short audio clips of you reading or speaking, usually under a minute, to compare your progress over time. These clips stay in your private student file and are shown only to you and me. They are never published or shared with anyone else without your separate, explicit consent. You can ask me to delete them at any time.

If you leave me a review or feedback, I may quote it on my website and in my social media with your first name and without a photo, unless you tell me otherwise. You can withdraw this permission at any time by email, and I will remove the quote within a reasonable time.

13. Conduct and ending the cooperation

Lessons are a respectful space for both of us. I may end a lesson early, or end our cooperation, if a student is abusive, harassing, under the influence, or repeatedly disregards these terms. A lesson ended for this reason counts as taken.

Either of us can end the cooperation at any time by email. If I end it for reasons other than your conduct, or if you end it, any unused prepaid lessons are settled under section 8 and section 9.

14. No guarantee of results

I promise a well-prepared, personal lesson every time. I cannot promise a specific level, exam result or time frame. Progress in a language depends on practice between lessons, consistency and your starting point. Nothing on the website or in our conversations is a guarantee of a particular outcome.

15. Liability

Lessons are provided as described in these terms. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost time, lost opportunities, or issues caused by third-party services such as Google Meet, Cal.com, Stripe or your internet provider. My total liability to you for any claim connected with these terms is limited to the amount you paid me in the 3 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing removes rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

16. Independent tutor

I am an independent tutor. I am not an employee, agent or representative of Preply, Cal.com, Stripe, Google or any other platform I use. Those services have their own terms, and using them is subject to those terms.

17. Changes to prices and terms

I may change my prices and these terms. I give at least 14 days' notice by updating the website and, for active students, by email. A price change applies only to purchases made after it takes effect. Lessons and packages you have already paid for keep the price and the rules that applied when you bought them.

18. Privacy

How I collect and use your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. It is part of these terms.

19. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia or another country whose consumer laws give you additional rights that cannot be waived, those rights are not affected.

If something goes wrong, write to me first at [email protected]. We both agree to try to resolve any dispute informally by email for at least 30 days before taking any other step. Disputes that we cannot resolve this way are brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless the law of your country of residence requires otherwise. If you live in the EU, you may also use the EU online dispute resolution platform.

Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as power or internet outages, natural disasters, illness or government action. Lessons affected by such events are rescheduled.

If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest remains in force. These terms are the whole agreement between us about lessons booked through the website.
